Communities Standing Together is a coalition of educators, clergy, civic, labor, and other leaders, working to denounce a slew of smear campaigns, factual distortions, and ugly attacks on various community organizations for social and economic justice.

They came to me a day before their site launch and press release date. Work began with purchasing a domain name. We breezed through logo options, sketched site wireframes, and pulling together the FTP information. The content was streamlined to two minimalist pages and published. From sketch to site in a mind-blowing 8 hours. Here’s their website.

Designing one’s own site is the biggest challenge a designer can face. I’ll elaborate more into the concept and evolution of the funny name and logo a little later, meanwhile, here’s the graphics for you to indulge in.

Being in stealth mode for almost six months, bHive Software Inc. (bHivesoft) launches this September. Because web development has to be a breeze, the website is based out of a template and highly customized to fit their image and content. The bHivesoft website gives a good round-up of how a website’s 2.0 factor can and should be managed. My effort on this also involved building an identity for bHivesoft on social websites like Twitter and Facebook.

The project involved styling the website, blog, and the Twitter background so that they looked like part of each other.
