Earlier this year, I started making applications to diversify projects and gain some momentum. Soon after, I discovered that my regular resume just wouldn’t cut it. I felt that I had to pep it up so it’s noticed.

Given my background in architecture and diverse skills, it was diffcult to translate that into visuals. It was clear that I had to make separate timelines for academic and professional milestones, since they overlapped. A joint timeline would be just too much noise.

Here are a couple of first drafts:

Once I had the timeline figured out, the geography needed to be worked in. That’s where the vertical staggering came into picture. I assigned red tones for professional milestones and green tones with academic. Blue toned milestones are internships, so contrast to both (professional/academic).

Other information like interests and key skills had to be worked in since it helps understand what my primary skills are, without having to go through a list of 20 skills. Here’s the resume mini-site for the final product. I intend to revisit this sometime around mid-2011, based on new projects and feedback on this infographic.

Reaching a milestone in their run, Mentorware decided to give their web presence a revamp and redesign the information on their website to reflect their corporate focus. The site was initially based out of a template, but has evolved into something unique and focus-driven.

The site still continues to evolve as Mentorware is poised to make some major launches in 2009. Work in progress here. The first two images are ‘before’ images.

A product marketing clip for Storwize – the provider of a unique real time storage compression solution and primary storage that dramatically boost the available storage space. This clip had to be versatile in terms of deliverables – it had to be optimised for looped kiosk play, DVD as well as a website Flash version. Click here for a complete preview.

Tasks included storyboarding, given the script by the Storwize marketing team and creating the animation.

A promo clip hosted on media and websites created by bHive Soft Inc. The company is still in stealth mode and this clip gives a broad overview of the business model. A very ‘web 2.0′ish Flash demo.

A website and identity redesign project, the website was completed within 3 months beginning from identity development to a complete website. A detailed process involved sitemaps, wireframes as well as preparing a catalog of training documents hosted on credence.com.
